FAQ

Questions? We've got answers.

Yes. We focus on commercial work: contract review, drafting, fundraising and finance documents, negotiating with the other side. All legal work is carried out by SRA-registered solicitors practising in England and Wales. We do not take on reserved legal activities such as litigation, conveyancing, probate or notarial work, so the firm itself is not regulated by the SRA; our solicitors are regulated by the SRA in their individual capacity.

It's our own. We built it specifically to do legal work, and it plugs into all of the major frontier models, so we can route a given task to whichever model is best suited to it. On top of that, we run a network of agents that handle the specialised pieces: drafting, redlining, clause-by-clause comparison against your playbook, risk flagging, and writing up the short commercial summary the rest of your team will actually read. The system improves every time we run a matter through it, so the quality of the work compounds. It's also deeply context-aware: when we onboard a client, we train a dedicated agent on their business, their commercial positions, the clauses they care about, the redlines they'll accept and the ones they won't, and whatever playbooks their team has built up. By the time a contract comes in, the review is already tuned to how that specific client thinks about risk, rather than running off a generic template. The closest analogy is something like Cursor for legal documents: the AI does the heavy lifting end to end, with a qualified solicitor in the loop on every output.

Yes. You can reach a real solicitor on Slack, Teams, email or WhatsApp during UK working hours, and you can get one of our solicitors on the phone whenever you need to talk something through. No call centres, no ticket queues, no 'we'll get back to you within five business days.'

Every output is verified by a qualified solicitor with a practising certificate in England & Wales. The AI handles drafting and first-pass review; a human applies legal judgement before anything reaches you.

Every matter is fixed-fee, quoted in pounds before any work begins. If the brief materially changes mid-flight, we agree a revised fee with you in writing before we continue. No timesheets, ever.

Most routine contracts come back within hours. Larger pieces of work (an SHA, an MSA negotiated with counterparty counsel) usually within days. We tell you the turnaround at quote stage.

Yes. We negotiate directly with counterparty counsel on your behalf, usually over email, and we'll join calls with them when that's the faster way to land a point. You stay in the loop only when a decision is yours to make.

UK high-growth companies from pre-seed to Series B and beyond. Founders, GCs, finance leads. If you sign more than a handful of contracts a quarter, you're our audience.

English law primarily. We can handle cross-border commercial contracts where English law is the governing law. We refer overseas-law work to firms we trust.
